A new introduction to our short-term plans: We'll support CosmWASM smart contracts on our blockchain. This enables us - and any builder out there - to bring new features to the blockchain. The implementation is finished but it needs to be tested and properly verified, so we can not include it in v8.1.0, but it will be released shortly after that.
